Following graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Kirmayer completed an internship in medicine and surgery followed by a residency in internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, school of Veterinary Medicine, during which his responsibilities included clinical care as well as teaching third and fourth year veterinary students. Dr. Kirmayer also has extensive postgraduate training in ultrasound & echocardiographic imaging, endoscopy and medical oncology. Dr. Kirmayer has completed the quality process of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. He currently sees general medicine and wellness patients as well as referral patients in the areas of internal medicine, oncology and imaging. Lisa Whalen, D.V.M. Dr. Whalen joined our staff in August of 2007. She completed her undergraduate degree in Nova Scotia and attended one of only four veterinary schools in Canada. Following graduation from the Atlantic Veterinary College on Prince Edward Island Canada, Dr. Whalen has experience in general internal medicine, oncology, general soft tissue surgery, dentistry, ultrasonography and endoscopy. She is currently accepting patients in these disciplines, general wellness exams, as well as consultations of more complex medical cases. Rebecca Frankeny, V.M.D., M.S., D.A.C.V.S. Following graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Frankeny completed an internship in medicine and surgery at the University of Missouri Veterinary Teaching Hospital followed by a residency in surgery, during which her responsibilities included clinical care as well as teaching third and fourth year veterinary students. Dr. Frankeny currently sees dental patients as well as referral soft tissue and orthopedic surgical patients. ![]() ![]() |
